Tim speaks out
Tim McGraw has spoken out about his attack on a rowdy fan at a show in Washington last week. The country star has downplayed the incident, during which he helped security staff eject an unruly reveler at a concert in Auburn. He says, “I was just trying to keep peace and the security guys just couldn’t get there in time.”
McGraw took action after he spotted the man assault a woman in the audience. The incident made headlines last week when footage of it surfaced online. McGraw halted his performance of “Indian Outlaw” to yell for help, screaming, “Get rid of this guy! Security!”
McGraw’s spokeswoman has since revealed the “overly aggressive fan” attacked a female fan, and Tim witnessed the incident. She says, “Tim called for security, but when they could not respond quick enough, Tim and several crew members removed the fan from the audience.”
The “unruly” fan, Marcus Nirschl, 30, insists he didn’t deserve McGraw’s wrath. He explains, “I was getting shoved up against some empty seats, and I may have pushed some people when I was trying to get my balance… but I didn’t hit nobody.
“I’m the nicest guy you’ll ever meet.”
Other fans at the show have disputed his claims.

Happy Memorial Day...
No matter where you stand on the war, we all support the troops who put their lives on the line for our country, our freedom, our families. Thank you to all those who serve and have served. And also a special thanks to the families left behind who sacrifice. Pray for our troops and their families. I found these photos of our troops encircled in prayer particulary moving. Happy Memorial Day.
David Archuleta makes final 2!!
Hometown fav David Archuleta is in the final 2 on American Idol! All the way from Murray, Utah!! Holy Cow. We’re so proud of him. And it was the coolest having David in our Eagle studios during his homecoming. While he was here we had the chance to give him a commemorative frame with The Eagle’s “I Vote For David Archuleta” t-shirts. He was thrilled! David exudes humility, and for a guy with so much attention all of a sudden, he is carrying himself well. Thanks David for the visit! We’ll all be watching next week...GO DAVID! ARCHULETA, that is!!

Stuck On The Elevator
The tour rolls on for Kenny Chesney, despite seriously injuring his foot Saturday night in Columbia, SC. After X-rays and doctor consultations, Chesney seems to have escaped without breaking any bones, and shows for this coming weekend will go on as planned — with the help of a tape job, some painkillers and a physician. Predictably, fan-videoed accounts of the incident are already up on YouTube, link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glbMQIA_W7g&feature=related
Dierks makes trip to UTAH!
Dierks is one of the absolute coolest country stars around. He knows who he is, knows the kind of music he wants to write and sing and has the artistic ability to pull it off successfully. Looking forward to seeing this guy in Utah! “Free and Easy Down The Road I Go!” He is the dude.

Wait. I have a blog?
I am always on the cutting edge of the latest technologies. That’s why it has taken me months to figure out how this blog thing works!...again, I live on the edge. My wife actually was first to introduce me to blogging. She loves it almost as much as scrapbooking. I actually like scrapbooking myself...again, I live on the edge. I am a real man. Here’s my family...we’re all excited to call Utah home after years in Texas. We all love country music! Especially my son, Landon...who recently learned every word of “Back That Thing Up”...he, like his Dad, is living on the edge!
