The University of Utah Marching Band, The Pride of Utah, has been invited to be apart of the Inaugaration Parade of President-elect Barack Obama on January 20th 2009. We recieved our official invitation upon returning home from the Sugar Bowl. We have about 3 days left to raise $75,000 of the $150,000 needed for this once in a lifetime experience. We have so far raised about $75,000. It would be an honor to represent our state and the great people in it. We are challenging everyone to please donate any amount of money, but mainly $13 or $130 in honor of the Utes perfect 13-0 season. KAIDEN IS THE NEICE OF A GIRL WHO I COACH IN LACROSSE....
The Make a Wish Foundation is doing a Walk for Wishes event to help sponsor wishes for children in the southern part of the state and they have invited her family to join them. They are so excited to attend and hopefully share our story about what Kaidan’s wish meant to her and her family.
If you can, we’d love to have you sponsor them as walkers. It’s a 15 mile walk through Zions National Park and we’d love to be able to walk as a family, but we need to help raise money to help pay for wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses.

101.5 The Eagle is in the market for a new intern. We have had one all summer who has done a great job, and need someone to fill big shoes. This person will be responsible for being in the production studio from 6am-10am weekday mornings to assist morning show with daily tasks.
Tasks include daily show prep, pulling audio for birthdays, celebrity scoop, and any other daily bits or segments. Also, loading the previous day’s show from mini disc to computer. They will also need to be available for any behind the scenes tasks needed by the morning show and/or PD/Promotions.
A knowledge of Audition and NexGen a HUGE plus, but willing to teach. MUST be computer literate with knowledge of www., Microsoft word, email, etc… Knowledge of radio industry also a huge plus.
Most of all, the must be willing to work without being told what to do every second.

My Trip Home!
HEY GUYS!!
I had a GREAT vacation in Maine this past week, UNTIL i tried to get home and they cancelled my flight!!! I still dont understand how they can just cancel flights?! So i spent an extra night in boston but it’s all good cuz i have family in the city…i just wish i had known before i spent 61/2 HOURS IN THE AIRPORT YESTERDAY!.
Here are some pictures from my trip! I spent most of the week with my family and a few friends. Maine is BEAUTIFUL but too bad it RAINED most of the week. We were up at my cabin on the lake and couldnt do ANYTHING until Friday and Saturday. SO that was kinda a bummer but i have a new found love of Yahtzee, card games and shopping.

HOW PRETTY IS VAIL?!
I was in Vail Colorado for the last 5 days coaching an All Star Lacrosse team. GO TEAM UTAH! We competed with teams from Pennsylvania, DC, Canada, Colorado, California and ALL OVER. We won 3 games and lost 3 so not bad at all! We got compliments from coaches around the country that this was the BEST Utah team they had seen in a long time. The team was made up of the best in the state from Orem to Park city and everywhere in between. It was an awesome trip and the girls REPRESENTED Utah proudly!

OH it was FUN!
I had a great birthday weekend. It started Friday morning when David Archuletta was in studio. Don’t forget to watch for the Stubbs show this tuesday on American Idol! Then that night I went to the Jazz game where they beat the Lakers (THANKS KEITH!!!!!!) That’s my friend Jeff and I wearing the UGLY XL blue shirts they give you at the ESA, Hahah but I wore it with pride and style! Those pics are taken with my phone so they are not that high quality. On Saturday (my actual birthday) I worked for a few hours, shopped, cleaned my house, got my nails done and then my friends took me to dinner! After that we went back to my house and that’s my cake all lit up! I look so happy. All in all it was a GREAT birthday weekend and thanks for all the well wishes!

CLEAN FOR CANCER
Kaidan (seen above) is the neice of Kaicee, a girl I coach on my Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team at Olympus High school. Kaidan’s mom Mystee brings her new born son and 3 other children (all under the age of 7) to EVERY lacrosse game/function that we have. Not only that, but she also helps take stats while holding her new born. What is more, Kaicee (the girl on my team) is one of the most talented players I have, and their middle sister Shawnee is my assistant coach who fills in for me WHENEVER the radio gets in the way of lacrosse. On top of THAT, Brett (their dad) is my parent rep who basically takes care of EVERYTHING behind the scenes so I can just focus on coaching.
Kaiden is 6 years old and suffering from cancer.
SATRUDAY NIGHT Real Salt Lake takes on David Beckham and the LA Galaxy. After the game a group of people get together to help clean the stadium to raise money to cover little Kaidan’s medical costs. She is an AMAZING girl and her and her family are truly an inspiration to me. THEY NEED VOLUNTEERS to help make the cleaning go faster. I know that it might seem like dirty work, but take one more look at the adorable face of Kaidan. She may be sick, but she has a light and a glow that not even trash at Rice Eccles Stadium could get dirty. COME HELP CLEAN and support me and this adorable girl.

My Best Friend from Maine was in town...
I spent the weekend with Lissa, my best friend from high school who flew in from Boston Thursday am. You probably heard her on the show Friday morning. Thursday night we went to the Jazz/Lakers game (yup that’s Kobe), Friday we had a live broadcast and then went and saw comediens Jeff Dye and Marcus at Wiseguys in Ogden. Saturday we spent the day frollicing at temple square since Liss had never been to SLC before, we had to do the hometown stuff! I had a great weekend and I miss her already as she left Monday afternoon.
She now LOVES the Eagle and had a great time in the great state of Utah!

Flatts/Horses
MY WEEKEND consisted of a Flatts concert Friday night…. SO FUN. Thanks to everyone who came by and said hi at the Eagle booth. BIG THANKS TO LISTENER ANDREA ABBOTT who won backstage passes from the EAGLE and took most of the FABULOUS pictures. Then on Sat/Sunday I spent some time with the 6 pack in Spanish Fork and got to pet some horses! I have been dying to go horse back riding forever! I havent been in so long. So I at least got to see some, hopefully the riding will come soon.

BENEFIT CONCERT
Peter Breinholt, Sam Payne, and Joshua James will be performing at Timpview High School on March 8 (this Saturday) at 7pm. All proceeds will go to the Cameron Williams Fund. Cameron is a BYU student who recently died of stomach cancer, the fund is helping his family pay for medical expenses. Learn more about our fundraising group at http://www.togetherwecam.org . Hello Lindsay,
I couldn’t let this day of love go by without sending a tribute to my sweet husband Keith. People tell him sometimes that he was lucky to marry me but truly, I feel like the lucky one. His biggest priority is making sure that everyone in our little family is happy and he’ll do whatever he can to make it happen. Case in point, tonight he could tell I was stressed out so he jumped right in and started helping with dinner trying to ease some of my burdens. I complained that my cracked and dry hands hurt so he offered to give me a manicure! How sweet is that? If he sees a need to make someone else happy, he will do it. That’s just one of the many things that I love about my true love Keith Stubbs. I couldn’t be happier, thanks to him, and I couldn’t be any “luckier” than having him for my wonderful husband.
In my efforts to find a song, I came upon this one by one of Keith’s favorites, Vince Gill. I hope he likes it.

What a fun night!! Joel Mchale is the funniest guy EVER. We went and saw him at Wiseguys Comedy Club in Ogden…I also bought him a present. well really it was for Lou his dog. It was a doggy T that said “good looks run in the family,” some doggy treats, a toy, and for Joel, a chihuahua day planner. He loved it, but i think he was just being nice. Im very excited to go to the Brad Paisley concert tonight! Hopefully i can meet Chuck wicks cuz he is DREAMY! i wonder if he knows im stalking him kinda? hahah probly not but i think he would be impressed.

Good day! Just hangin out in the studio, doin the midday show, the usual. The show today was fun, SO sad about heath ledger dying. I just can’t even imagine how people can get wrapped up in drugs and whatnot. i know it just effects peoples lives more than i will ever know. eagle condolences to his family and friends.
On a lighter note, SO excited for the brad paisley concert tomorrow night! Make sure u come say hi to us, we’ll be at the ESA hangin before the show so stop by and meet and greeeeeeet.
im hopefully gonna get some pix up soon so u can see my life and what i do. basically i do nothin, just take funny pics with my friends.
BUT i did get a haircut so im feelin FRESH and fun. it’s the A-line Bob..i had to teach keith what that was. he didnt even notice. typical man. hahah SO my oprah moment today: when you’re not feeling FRESH go change something…like ur hair, or go tanning, or get the nails did, or even just treat yourself to lunch. anything to make ya feel better. then go flaunt it!

It’s like a new born child! My very first blog. I’m gonna try to keep up with this, and keep you the people informed of the happenigns at the simmons media megaplex. Cuz there is sooo much that goes on here. daily. I know I’m new to alot of you, but i am VERY happy to be working at the eagle, and i hope you get a chance to get to know me a little.
