Here we go 2016!

How did this happen? How did I become the guy who’s growing a beard to hide his double chin and can’t even button the top button on his jeans (look closely at the pic…if you dare)?! For one thing, my wife Jenn and I opened a new business six months ago and that put my “gym time” on the back burner. I was a guy who did a few 5ks every year, The Spartan Race, The Tough Mudder and enjoyed fitness! Then, I gained twenty pounds from lack of exercise and excess food. Once I stopped working out, I also stopped caring about what I put in my body. So, starting today along with Justin and Chantel- I’m losing the weight! I may not be able to go to the gym like I use to, but I will get back to eating healthy and no more late night sweet snacks! Hopefully on the next photo I’ll be able to button my jeans or at least have had time to buy bigger ones….

I am not one of those people that says I am going to lose weight has a new year’s resolution for me it is more about getting my strength back. I am one of the lucky people that when I don’t exercise I shrink!! But the other side of that coin is people start to say what’s wrong with Justin is he sick….  My goal this year is to get myself back to being fit and living a healthy lifestyle for me and the family. Lori and start over the weekend by tossing all the holiday snacks out and shopping for healthier things, like my desk drawer already is full of oranges ,protein bars & rice crackers.  So I guess this means the Pizza Posse will not ride for a bit bring on the turkey on wheat : )

Its cliche, but I don’t care. There is nothing to be ashamed about when it comes to bettering your life. My New Years resolution is to get healthy! I was very athletic in my teens and it slowly faded as my workload increased. I’m a workaholic, but this year i’m going to channel some of that energy back into my body. I’m short and Petite, it’s easy for me to gain weight without noticing, and that’s what happened over the last few years. My goals: January-February go to the gym everyday M-F / March-December maintain my habits and be at the gym at least 3 days a week. Lose 2lbs a month to have a healthy total weight loss of 24lbs this year! It’s gonna be rough, but if we work together I know we can all do this! #operationthighgap
