In fact, experts are saying that men who like being the little spoon actually seem to have better personality traits and make for better partners. Psychoanalysts feel that men who like to be the little spoon are more submissive and more sensitive, saying, “The spoon position demonstrates a dynamic in which one partner takes a protective stance over the other. It’s a vulnerable position that says ‘I trust you’.”
Some men might not be comfortable with this and insist on being the one in charge of the cuddling, but these are also the men that seem to have more problems with their relationships, so keep an open mind.
