CDC: Pregnant Women Now Considered “High Risk” For Coronavirus

The CDC has added pregnant women to the “high risk” category for severe COVID-19 illness.

The agency made several adjustments to the list this week, adding pregnancy as well as underlying health conditions like Type 2 diabetes, sickle cell, kidney disease, COPD, and obesity. Anyone over the age of 65 is also considered high risk. Race was not included as a risk factor.

Are you still taking extra precautions to prevent the virus, or have you been leaving the mask at home? Should the CDC have made these changes earlier?
