Disney and Sony Reach Spider-Man Deal

Marvel Studios and Sony have been battling over Spider-Man since 2009 and have now come to an agreement in regards to the web-slinger.

Sony has had the rights to Spider-Man since 1985 and in 2015, a deal was made that allowed Marvel to include Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to insider Roger Wardell, the deal will allow Marvel to use characters like Venom and others in their stories and in return, Sony can use Marvel characters in their upcoming films.

The deal hasn’t been officially confirmed by Disney or Marvel executives.
