The husband of late Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins lashed out at Alec Baldwin in and interview with NBC’s Today show. Matthew Hutchins said that “a number of industry standards” were not practices on the set and that “multiple parties” were responsible for his wife’s death. That includes Baldwin, in Hutchins’ opinion: “The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to me”.

The Hutchins family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit that names Baldwin as a defendant, along with the film’s producers and some crew memebers.
