As many of you now know, my daughter’s 6 year old classmate, Jase and his mother, were gunned down in our neighborhood.  She is feeling sad, scared, and like all of us, helpless. Her birthday is next weekend and she’s decided instead of presents, she would like to collect money for Jase’s memorial. A 6 year old giving up presents is no small feat. She particularly wants to give Jase’s dad and his brothers a nice dinner with dessert.
