“Relationship goals” is a commonly used phrase these days, all over social media you see people posting photos of two people in a relationship implying that they envy them, usually a celebrity couple. In country music, the couple that should be on the top of the “relationship goals” list are Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. They have been married for almost 20 years and have three daughters together, but their romance is still as strong ever. Even after all of these years, they still reign as the forever king and queen of country music. The two country stars first met at a Nashville radio station event. At the time Faith was engaged, so their relationship didn’t really begin until she was an opening act on McGraw’s 1996 tour. Their romance was like fire, started quick and burned bright. Even though Hill had ended her engagement and they started this relationship suddenly, it was real. They were wed that October.
Whether performing on stage together or cuddling close off-camera, even all of these years later, the two seem more like love-struck teenagers than a married couple. They are about to celebrate two decades of marriage, and it appears they are just as in love as they were back when they fell in love in 1996. They clearly still have plenty of fire between them, that is attributed to them making sure that their marriage is their main priority, besides their children. “My husband and I have made the choice that our marriage is the most important thing to us,” Faith explains. “We respect what we have and understand how we need to feed it.” There is no question how much chemistry these two have.
