Mel Gibson Called Britney Spears And Said ‘Christianity Would Save Her’

Britney Spears’ friend, Sean Phillip, recalled the time Mel Gibson reached out to help Britney. Phillip says Gibson reached out to Britney during her turbulent time in 2008 and told her, “Christianity would save her and to turn back to God,” Phillip called the comment, “surreal.”

Sean also told The Sun that Britney’s team covered up for the singer when she passed out on New Year’s Eve in 2007 at Las Vegas’ Pure Nightclub.

Even though her team told the press she left the club because she was “tired.” The reality Phillip says, “she was exhausted. She was being worked to the bone and was in no fit state to still be performing. The medication she was on was not helping her at all. She was becoming paranoid like I’d never, ever seen her before.”

Sean says once she was upstairs away from the media she cried asking why she was so accessible and still performing in clubs. “That night, management came up and were trying to give her something, in pill form, and I said, ‘No, it’s not happening,” said Phillip. “She was just overwhelmed. I begged for them to let her rest.”

A lot of people are revealing stories about Britney’s past, do you think they should’ve spoken out prior to Britney telling her truth, or were they right to hold their story until she was ready to tell?
