Since Kimmel was hosting this years Oscars, he made sure to keep the feud alive by “playing” Matt Damon off stage, even though he was just presenting an award. At one point, Damon even tried to trip Kimmel during one of his bits.
2. Viola Davis Speech
Viola Davis is known for giving some extremely powerful and moving speeches whenever she wins an award for her amazing acting, and this year at the Oscars she did not disappoint. She showed passion, power, and inspiration with her speech, especially with her most trending line “I became an artist, and thank god I did, because we are the only profession that celebrates what it means to live a life.”
La La Land Moonlight Won Best Picture
The most trending and jaw dropping thing that happened at the Oscars this year was when Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty were given the wrong card and accidentally announced La La Land as the winner of best picture, when in fact Moonlight won. No gif can do the moment justice, you have to watch the entire awkward moment in video.
