Someone broke down scenes from “The Karate Kid” to show how Ralph Macchio’s character might actually be the BAD GUY, and Johnny is the real hero. The guy who did it was just trying be funny, but he actually makes a few decent points.
For example, Daniel actually attacks Johnny FIRST, then sucker punches him in the same fight. And instead of avoiding him after that, he provokes him by pranking him in the bathroom at the Halloween dance, then causes a car crash when he tries to run.
Meanwhile, Johnny tells one of his friends early on that it’s his senior year, and he wants to get serious about his life. But Daniel keeps provoking him, and starts dating the girl he JUST broke up with.
