1971 Happy Birthday Sara Evans  born on this day in Boonville.  She earns the Academy of Country Music’s Top Female Vocalist in 2006 while stringing together hits with“Suds In The Bucket,” and “A Real Fine Place To Start” 

1984 Happy Birthday Tyler Farr  born on this day in Garden City, Missouri. Tyler earns successive hits beginning in 2013 with “Redneck Crazy,“Whiskey In My Water” and “A Guy Walks Into A Bar”

1994 John Michael Montgomery’s “I Swear” begins a four-week stay at #1 on the Billboard country singles chart.

2000 The Dixie Chicks are at #1 on the Billboard country singles chart with “Cowboy Take Me Away”

2012 Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert sing “America, The Beautiful” and Kelly Clarkson does the national anthem before the Super Bowl at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The New York Giants beat the New England Patriots, 21-17

2017 Luke Bryan sings the national anthem before Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston, where the New England Patriots down the Atlanta Falcons, 34-28, in overtime.
