It’s National Everything You Thing Is Wrong Day, National Kansas Day, and National Shoe The World Day. (more information available at national day)    Fabio Lanzoni. Better known as Fabio is 59 today.  Once one of the highest paid models in the world, and “Cosmopolitan”magazine’s Sexiest Man of the Year in 1993.  He’s modeled for the covers of romance novels that have sold 100 million copies.

It Happened On This Day In Country Music History

1970 Merle Haggard “The Fightin’ Side of Me.” was at #1 on the Country chart.   It was released in December 1969 as the first single and title track from the album. The song became one of the most famous of his career.

1982  Alabama’s album  Mountain Music was at #1 on the Country album charts. The album included the title track “Mountain Music” “Close Enough to Perfect” and “Take Me Down” This was Alabama’s most successful non-compilation album.

2011 Lady Antebellum Need You Now” was at #1 on the Country chart with , their second studio album. The album won a Grammy Award for Best Country Album and was nominated for Album of the Year, the single “Need You Now” won four awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

Country Music Fun Fact

Clint Black appeared as a masseur in the 2003 film Anger Management.
