It Happened On This Day In Country Music History

1948 Dan Seals is born in McCamey, Texas. After establishing a pop career as one-half of England Dan & John Ford Coley, he becomes a consistent country presence in the 1980s, behind “Bop,”and “You Still Move Me” Dan Seals passed away March 25th 2009 at the age of 61

1997 Mark Chesnutt is at the top of the Billboard country chart with “It’s A Little Too Late”

2011  Thompson Square’s self-titled debut album is released by Stoney Creek.  Tracks include “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”It reached #1 on the country charts in April of 2011 and was certified double platinum.
