Porky Pig was created five years before Bugs Bunny.  Porky’s first appearance was in a cartoon called “I Haven’t Got a Hat”in 1935 . . . Bugs debuted in “A Wild Hare” in 1940.

It Happened On This day In Country Music History

1964 Happy Birthday Craig Morgan born on this day in Kingston Springs, Tennessee.  Singer, songwriter and a veteran of the United States Army, Morgan began his musical career in 2000 releasing his self-titled debut album. In 2005 he scored “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” which spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard country charts.

1976  Happy Birthday Luke Bryan.  Singer, songwriter who began his musical career in the mid-2000s, writing songs for Travis Tritt and Billy Currington. Had the early #1 singles “Rain Is a Good Thing” and “Someone Else Calling You Baby” and of course the rest is history.

2000 Tim McGraw released “My Next Thirty Years” as the fifth single from McGraw’s A Place in the Sun album. The song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks.

Willie Nelson lives in Maui, Hawaii, in a largely self-sustaining community where all the homes use only solar power. Neighbors include Kris Kristofferson, Woody Harrelson, and Owen Wilson.
